Our Grass Lake Middle School Robotics Team Gears and Spears competed this past weekend at the Northwest State of Michigan First Robotics Challenge State Championships. Gears and Spears finished 15 out of 36 teams. We are very proud of our students (Drake, Conrad, Trenton, Vivian, Richard, Greyson, and Kaitlin). We had two returning students and only one attended a competition last year. This incredible group of students worked hard together to build a much simpler robot than almost all the robots they competed against and used their skills and simplicity to deliver a record of 4-2 this weekend against teams from as far away as Houghton Michigan.
