Academics
The Grass Lake Community School District is committed to providing the highest quality educational experience possible for every student. Our district administrators support this work through a continuous improvement process that is supported through a district-wide professional development plan that involves curriculum, instructional, and assessment.
K-8 students take the NWEA 2 times a year. These results, along with other local assessments, provide the baseline data that classroom teachers, administrators, and support personal use to help all of our students reach their potential. The results can be found here.
The State of Michigan uses a comprehensive system of assessments to measure student achievement and growth in our state standards. This system involved the M-STEP, MI-ACECESS, PSAT 8, 9, 10, SAT 11, and WIDA.
